Tanzania Safari Itinerary

Day 1

You will be met upon your arrival in JRO; and transfer to Hotel in Arusha.

 Day 2: Arusha & Tarangire National Park

Today, after breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch; the park is renowned for its large elephant population. Game drives in the park.

Day 3:Tarangire / Lake Manyara with overnight in Karatu (near Ngorongoro)

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara N/Park for game drives safari there. Later in the day we will drive to a small town of Karatu for a night.
Estimated transit time: 1.5hrs drive to Manyara; 1.5hr drive to Karatu.

Day 4:Lake Manyara (Karatu) / Serengeti

Drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area’s gate (approx 10mins); after registration at the gate, proceed for about 30minutes drive before entering the descending gate of the Crater. Game drives safari in the Crater, exploring the short-grass plains of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100sq miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many more games. Later in the day (around 2pm) we drive to overnight in Serengeti. Estimated transit time: 10minutes drive to NCA’s gate; 30mins drive to Crater’s descending gate; 3hrs drive to Central Serengeti

Day 5:Serengeti National Park

Game drives safari in the Serengeti, exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of the large predators and the gentle herbivores, on which they feed.

Day 6:Serengeti (Central)

More game drives safari in the Serengeti. [NOTE THAT: For months of December-March, we will do gamer drive in the Ndutu while for the months of Mid-July – late October, we will do that in the northern Serengeti; and purpose for those changes is to get closer to the Migration]

[NOTE THAT: For months of December-March, we will replace one of these nights with staying in Ndutu at Ndutu Kati Kati Camp; and for the months of Mid-July – late October, we will do that at Mara Kati Kati Camp.]

Day 7:Serengeti / FLIGHT to Kilimanjaro Airport (Day room) / Departure

After breakfast, we will have morning game drive in the Serengeti as we drive to the nearby airstrip there with lunch boxes for a 10:45AM flight to Kilimanjaro airport (JRO), arriving there at 12:30PM; where you will be met by our staff/drive from Airport Planet Lodge for a short 8 mins drive to the Lodge where you will have a day room (with check out time of 6:00PM) and a $50 coupon that you can use for an hour massage spa or buy souvenirs at the curio at the Lodge. Later transfer to JRO airport for your evening / night flight back home.
